Your materials can be acessed through the Packs button on the bottom right of the main screen, while in the "Materials" tab. There are several materials in Card Monsters, and they are needed to upgrade an craft cards. If you have more than two copies of a card in your collection, any new copies gained when opening packs will be automatically disenchanted, wielding Card Dust and Card Crystals.
Card Dust
Card Dust can be gained by disenchanting cards and are used for crafting cards. Monster cards wield Monster Dust and Equipment or Flash Cards wields Item Dust.
Card Crystals
You gain 1 Card Crystal when disenchanting cards and they are used for crafting cards. Monster cards wield Monster Crystals and Equipment or Flash Cards wields Item Crystals.
Monster Scrolls
Monster Scrolls are gained upon completing Quests and certain Events and by disenchanting upgraded Monster Cards. They are used for upgrading Monster Cards.
Item Runes
Item Runes are gained upon completing Quests and certain Events and by disenchanting upgraded Equipment Cards. They are used for upgrading Equipment Cards.
Soul Crystals
Soul Crystals are gained upon completing Quests and certain Events and by disenchanting upgraded cards. Monster Soul Crystals are used for upgrading Monster Cards and Item Soul Crystals are used for upgrading Equipment Cards.
Level Swap Energy
Level Swap Energy are rare and can be gained in Pass Rewards or when you login in the game through several days. They are used in the Level Swap, inside Emulate, to swap the level between two owned cards of the same rarity. Common cards cost 1 Energy, Rare cards cost 2 Energy, Epic cards costs 6 Energy and Legendary Cards costs 10 Energy, regardless of the level gap between the cards. Swapping levels do unlock skins, but the animation of unlocking them doesn't play.
Year-Exclusive Material
Year-Exclusive Material can be gained during the year through various events and login-in rewards. Each year of Card Monsters have a Legendary, Exclusive Monster that can be bought by trading 99 of its respective year-exclusive material. On the first year of the game, this material was Monster Bells, on the second was Piggy Buns, and on the current, third year, is Golden Cheese.Underneath is a table containing the required amount of a year-exclusive material and the reward that is given if you do the trade:

Treasure Chests
Treasure Chests can be gained through various events by doing tasks, like battling in the Arena or using cards of a Faction in the Faction War. Silver, Gold and Diamond Treasure Chests can contain Card Dust, Monster Scrolls, Item Runes, Soul Crystals or Gold in a random quantity, depending on the rarity of the chest. Foxgirl Echoes' chest has a 3% chance of containing Fox Girl, Boar Overlord, Dragonlord Xerks or Xartas' Amulet.
Event-Exclusive Material
Event-Exclusive Material are gained in events, such as Penguin vs Dragon and Tony's Final Duel by completing tasks and spending Gems. If you have 16000 of them, you can do a scripted battle and recieve the card as a reward if you win.

Enhancing Materials
Enhancing Materials are very rare and can be bought in the Shop for a huge amount of Gems. They alternatively can be gained by login in the game for several days in the same month. Evolution Stones can be bought by 800 gems and are used for awakening Monster Cards. Black Coins can be bought by 2400 gems and are used for enhancing Flash Cards.
De-Enhancing Materials
De-Enhancing Materials are extremely rare and can only be gained by login in the game for several days in the same month, when the player has a Player Pass. Level-down Stones are used for returning awakened Monster Cards to their Level 8 stage, gaining back the resources used in the awakening process.
Soul Power
Soul Power is very rare and can be gained when you recieve a duplicate of an Elite Card you already own or when you login in the game through the entire month. In the Soul Power Redeem Event, you can trade 3 to 5 Soul Power into an Elite Card of your choice.
Additional Sign-In Card
Additional Sign-In Cards are rare and can be gained by login in the game for several days or through Pass Rewards. They can be used to do a "sign-in" in the Daily Reward, gaining the rewards for that day and marking it in the Login Calendar. Multiple Sign-In Cards can be used in the same day, but they have a limited time that they can be used, expiring if they aren't used before the timer ends.
